ISKCON Mayapur

Located on the confluence of the rivers Hooghly and Jalangi in Nadia district, Mayapur is famous for the Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s dham, Nabadwip. Devotees all over the world come to this sacred land to visit Mayapur Chandrodaya Temple of ISKCON which is also the headquarter of ISKCON. It is one of the 20 most visited and sacred places in the world. This place is of special significance to followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism as this is the birthplace of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Over a million of pilgrims visit this place annually to see and worship magnificent deities like Pancatattva, Lord Nrisingha Dev, Srila Prabhupada and Radha-Madhav with the Gopis inside the temple. Several accommodation units like Conch Bhavan, Gada Bhavan and Ishodyan Bhavan have been situated for tourists and pilgrims who can experience the serene natural beauty and offer their prayers to their favourite deities. Vaishnava festivals are celebrated here throughout the year. Worth special mention are the Gaura Purnima festivities like Navadvipa Mandal Parikrama and Kirtan Mela which attract many thousands of devotees every year.

By Rail: There is no railway station at Mayapur. One can take a train from Howrah Railway Station and the train passes through Nabadwip Dham. From the Nabadwip Dham Railway Station, one can take a taxi to reach Mayapur which is around 12 km away from Nabadwip dham.

By Air: The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport, which is located at Kolkata. One can commute via road to reach the destination

By Road: Mayapur is well connected to different parts of West Bengal. From Kolkata, the property is approximately 129 km away, and it takes around 4 hours and 14 minutes to reach via NH19. Moreover, the nearest bus stand is located at Krishnanagar which is 20 km away from Mayapur
