Built in 1914, the Shree Digambar Jain Pareswanath Temple of Kolkata is a very sacred place of worship for the Digambara Jain community. This glorious red temple with its bright red entrance greets the pilgrims to the temple premise, which has four sprawling gardens surrounded by trees, hedges, and flowering plants for the visitors to take rest and feel the oneness with nature. Religious inscriptions preaching non-violence and other aspects of Jainism can be found inscribes on the walls of the temple.
By Air: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata is the nearest airport at a distance of 10 kms from the temple. One can hire prepaid taxis or rent cabs (Ola, Uber, etc) to reach the Iskcon Kolkata.
By Rail:-Sealdah Railway Station and Howrah Junction are the nearest railway stations at a distance of 3 kms and 2 kms respectively from the temple.
By Road:- The place is well connected by road to the other part of Kolkata as well as the state. One can reach there by taking either through bus or a taxi or auto-rickshaw from any part of the city.
