Chatakpur is a small eco-friendly village nestled within the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. At an elevation of 7,887 feet, Chatakpur is a haven for nature enthusiasts as it offers a breathtaking view of the formidable Kanchenjunga Mountain range and at the same time offers a serene and tranquil village environment for the tourist to enjoy.
This village is modeled as an eco-tourism village where the villagers are primarily dependent on home stay business for their livelihood, and are actively involved in terraced farming, which involves organic vegetable growing and medicinal plants. The tourist visiting this eco-friendly village can also visit the watch tower from where apart from the beautiful mountain ranges, the trekkers paradise, ‘Sundakphu’ is also visible.

By Train:- Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station
By Road:- Tourist travel towards Kurseong (either via the Hill Cart Road or alternatively through Rohini Road), then higher up (towards Darjeeling) along the Hill Cart Road, and at Sonada, a right along the Forest Office Road which eventually merges with Chatakpur Road.
