Lakhnaur Sahib
Gurudwara Shri Laknour Sahib is situated in the Lakhnour Village of Ambala Distt. It is situated Ambala Hisar Road.Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji’s wife and Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Mother Mata Gujri was born here. Later her parents shifted to Kartarpur Sahib, Where she got married to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. When Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji and Mata Gujri were on tour to Bihar, Bal Gobind Rai’s (Guru Gobind Singh Ji) was born there. Mata Gujri Ji stayed there and Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji’ went further to Assam and Bangladesh. Mata Ji and Bal Gobind Rai Ji stayed there for 5 years. And later on Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji’s consent Mata Gujri, Bal Gobind Rai Ji and Mata NankiJi started for Punjab. And on the way they reached Lakhnour Sahib. Mata and Guru Ji stayed here for 6 months. Along with them there were three Beds, (Out of Which 2 beds and 2 Pawa’s are still preserved here), 2 Prant’s and many more Guru Sahib’s weapons are still preserved here.
