ISKCON Kolkata

Radha Govinda Temple, a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and his consort, Goddess Radharani is commonly known as ISKCON Kolkata. It is one of the major tourist attractions of Kolkata. The ISKCON Kolkata is the first ISKCON centre established in India by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada around 1970. The temple focuses on spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna and promotes vedic and spiritual teachings.

ISKCON Kolkata’s youth preaching wing ISKCON YOUTH FORUM (IYF) has been preaching on community in and around Kolkata since 2001 and several students have participated in different courses. It also has a Youth of Gods Abode center (YOGA) called Bhaktivedanta within the temple. At YOGA, working youths live together and participate in systematic spiritual training programs as well as practice Krishna consciousness. It is a must visit place for all Krishna bhakts.

By Air: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata is the nearest airport at a distance of 21 kms from the temple. One can hire prepaid taxis or rent cabs (Ola, Uber, etc) to reach the Iskcon Kolkata.

By Rail:-Sealdah Railway Station and Howrah Junction are the nearest railway stations. From Sealdah railway station, one can board any bus going towards Mullick Bazar and get down at Minto Park. The temple is at a walking distance from Minto park.

By Road:- The place is well connected by road to the other part of Kolkata as well as the state. One can reach there by taking either through bus or a taxi or auto-rickshaw from any part of the city.
