Overview
Singtom Tea Estate is Darjeeling’s 2nd oldest tea estate built in 1962. Situated only 20 minutes away from Darjeeling. The heritage tea plantation provides an authentic experience of life in a tea garden with spectacular panoramic views of the world's highest mountains. This is the only tea garden destination in India which allows tourist the opportunity to walk through the 1600 acres of private grounds of the estate. Singtom provides tourist a chance to have a 360 degree view through its famous vies point. The view point offers an incredible panoramic view of more than 100 different peaks of Himalayan range of 4 different countries including India, Nepal, Bhutan and China. Good picnic spot of Tea Tourism.
Rail: The nearest rail station is New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. From there it is nearly 78 km away via hill cart road, which takes 3 hours to reach by car.
Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri. 75 km away and it takes a car 2 hours 45 minutes to reach the place.
Road: From Kolkata, the location is approximately 650 km away, and it takes around 16 hours to reach via NH 12.
